Data sources ​

Aircraft performance data ​

Aircraft type definitions, performance characteristics, and specifications are sourced from the openscope project:

  • Project: openscope, github
  • License: MIT License
  • Usage: Aircraft performance data for 140+ aircraft types including speeds, climb rates, turn rates, and wake categories
  • Files: /data/aircraft/*.json

Vector map data ​

Geographic vector data for land masses, coastlines, lakes, rivers, roads, airports, and administrative boundaries is sourced from Natural Earth:

  • Project: Natural Earth
  • License: Public Domain
  • Usage: Vector data rendered as custom map tiles for the radar display background

Natural Earth Attribution:

Natural Earth is a public domain map dataset available at 1:10m, 1:50m, and 1:110 million scales. Featuring tightly integrated vector and raster data, with Natural Earth you can make a variety of visually pleasing, well-crafted maps with cartography or GIS software.

Terrain map tiles (optional) ​

Topographic terrain visualization is optionally provided by OpenTopoMap:
